Traditionally the tourism industry in Kenya and Tanzania have used the low cost Kenwood TK95 HF radio, unfortunately this has now been discontinued. The only option being to procure the more expensive professional radios, which are uneconomical for most of the tourist industry.
Sadlesea Communications has been working with some of its partners and is now able to offer a low cost alternative, based on the Yaesu FT-891 HF/6M, which they then wideband so that it can be used for the specific frequencies required for the tourist and other industries.
Yaesu FT-891 HF/6M 100W Compact Multimode Mobile/Base Station Radio (Wide banded)
